Great handcream to prevent more. When I get a split I use a plaster to keep the skin a bit moister. It helps it heal quicker and stops it getting dry and resplitting.

Great hand cream to fix this split, then switch your hand soap to Soaper Duper. It is magic soap that stops your hands getting dry and split.

I find Neutrogena Norwegian Formula good on dry/cracked skin (I have eczema so get cracked fingers a lot in this weather).

Bouchie · 17/12/2018 07:32

I use bepanthen the nappy cream. Works a dream.

KnittingSister · 17/12/2018 07:32

Nivea nivea nivea every time you wash your hands and a good dollop of Vaseline at bedtime

BlackeyedGruesome · 17/12/2018 07:33

sudocreme over night,

handcreme to prevent further. (norewegian formula)

plaster over cut to try and stopp me yelling everytine I hit the corner of the nnail on something... about 50 million pain nerves reside under the exect place where I get split skin.

try and eat plenty of seeds, nuts, fruit and veg to ensure I am not missing anyting required to help healing. slow healing here is a bit shit, it can take over a week for it to heal up enough not to hurt.

GaryBaldbiscuit · 17/12/2018 07:38

plaster in place now thanks
will search out Norwegian formula

Put Savlon on it. The sides of my fingers split in the cold weather and Savlon sorts it out in days. Use good handcream regularly. I use Epimax, which we've got in the house for our eczema. You can buy Oilatum junior cream over the counter as well, which is very very good as a hand cream / general moisturiser. Just decant some into a pot.

CurbsideProphet · 17/12/2018 09:33

I use flexitol cuticle and nail cream every night, as it heals cracks / plots and doesn't sting.

Fruityfruitcake · 17/12/2018 09:33

O'Keefe's hand cream every time, it's like magic 😍

AnnieOH1 · 17/12/2018 09:35

O'Keefes will sort it and used daily prevent it too. Simply the best we have ever used.

newherebegentle · 17/12/2018 09:58

Aloe Vera straight from the plant

thetemptationofchocolate · 17/12/2018 09:59
