Canaries March/April with 18 month old

I'm hoping I can gather some good suggestions for places to go in the canaries in March/April 19 with an 18 month old. We've stayed in Costa Adeje and travelled around Tenerife a little, and really liked it. We may well go back there, but I'm curious to see if there are other places that could tempt us.

It will be our first flight and overseas holiday with the little tike in tow, so I'd also welcome any general travel advice if you have some to offer.

Tenerife or Gran Canaria will normally have the better weather at that time of year. Puerto Santiago is a low key resort that doesn't set out to appeal to the mass tourist trade of the larger resorts such as Playa de las Americas further south. It merges with Los Giganties to the north, which is a 20 minute walk away over the cliffs, and Playa de Arena to the south. If you don’t fancy the 20 minute walk there are reliable bus services running between the resort centres. There are fishing and boat trips that operate from the harbour with pleasure trips past the giant cliffs towards Masca. Be Alive La Arena is a good hotel for families with young children.

I wouldn’t book anything abroad until we know what’s happening with Brexit. If no deal (which surely won’t happen - but the Govt is so chaotic Angry) then flights will be affected.

Just don't expect holiday with a toddler to be fun or relaxing! It's harder work than at home!
Take lots of new (charity shop) toys and books and wrap each one up to entertain your child on the aeroplane.

I wouldn't book abroad for April till the Brexit situation is sorted either.
