I haven’t cried in 9 years, feel like a good cry would be beneficial but I can’t. I know that I have some emotional issues but I was wondering when was the last time you cried?

Earlier this week actually, for the first time in months. I was thinking about some sad times from my childhood and for some reason it set me off. This was at night and I had a bad 'crying hangover' the next day with swollen eyes and a headache, so I wouldn't class it as a beneficial experiences.

hairypaws · 16/12/2018 20:17

Yesterday and I'm on the verge every day at the moment.

fourthusernamebutwhoscounting · 16/12/2018 20:18

Yesterday. A young patient tragically died on my shift last week. Barely holding it together today.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 16/12/2018 20:18

Wednesday evening for about 5 minutes

Then i just got pissed off

I'm not really a crier

IncyWincyGrownUp · 16/12/2018 20:18

This morning, I found out an old friend had passed away. I’ve not seen them for a long time, but there’s illness in my family at the moment and I suppose it just hit me harder than it should.

justasyouare · 16/12/2018 20:19

About 20 mins ago watching Elf.
I cry a lot though, when I’m happy, when sad, when watching someone else be happy or sad. When I’m frustrated or tired. Bit of a nightmare to be honest Blush

msnowtybach · 16/12/2018 20:19

On the verge all day, but have managed to push it back.

Having some quiet time to myself now to collect my thoughts, then a book and bed.

Elephantina · 16/12/2018 20:20

Couple of nights ago. Something someone said hurt.

Shadow1986 · 16/12/2018 20:20

I’m quite an emotional person, get a bit teary at songs and

SquigglePigs · 16/12/2018 20:21

Earlier today but I have a 12 day old baby and an excess of hormones! Crying can be good for you though - releasing the emotions rather than bottling them up.

LunaLovegoodsRadishes · 16/12/2018 20:23

Last Wednesday, when a manager told me she warned our boss I was heading for a mental breakdown, and he let watched it happen anyway, which resulted in me almost getting fired from my job. Thank God for unions, is all I'll say.

AviatorShades · 16/12/2018 20:23

Many,many years ago.
I think that if I ever started I'd never stop.
And so I carry on. British stiff upper lip and all that.

RedForShort · 16/12/2018 20:24

What's crying? If people on this thread ate crying daily is it full on sobbing?

Genuinely don't know last time I cried. (As in more than three tears.)

Kintan · 16/12/2018 20:25

About an hour ago - my normally healthy 78 year old dad’s in hospital very weak with no energy and no diagnosis yet. I’m so worried and nowhere near ready to lose him.

DogMamma · 16/12/2018 20:26

Last night while thinking of my late dog, I shed a few tears every single day over her. Lost her in July, I'm still not over it. She was my best friend, my baby she went everywhere with me beside work. I have her 3 kids though and currently in MIL with two of her other ones

DogMamma · 16/12/2018 20:27

And when i get into bed I will almost definitely have another cry

AgentCooper · 16/12/2018 20:27

Today. Took my wee boy (15 months) to his Christmas party at one of the groups we go to and he was the only one who didn't get a party bag because someone else picked it up Sad He'll get it tomorrow when we go to our regular play session but I was gutted for the wee guy. He was oblivious, of course.

I am extremely sleep deprived Grin

TheWoollybacksWife · 16/12/2018 20:27

Yesterday visiting my dad's grave and Friday at my mum's funeral. It's been an emotional few weeks really.

squeakywheelie · 16/12/2018 20:30

IncyWincy, me too. I wasn't able to see them as ds1 has additional needs and couldn't be left with just dh or taken to visit. I cried today about it.

DragonMamma · 16/12/2018 20:30

I cried last Friday because I was drunk and my feet hurt. I don’t usually cry though. Maybe once a year.

I find crying exhausting so I try to avoid it. I get choked up at things but never sit there sobbing.

I can’t imagine crying every day, as PPs up thread. What are you all crying over so regularly?!

MrsTommyBanks · 16/12/2018 20:32

Today watching all of the below.
Kevin winning Strictly Xmas Blush
Call the Midwife (Christmas special repeat) Xmas Blush
And finally Elf Xmas Blush

Tbf life's been incredibly hard this year. I've also had a change in medication and am an emotional wreck.

overitalready · 16/12/2018 20:33

Happy tears - today at panto with 3 year old grandson. It fake snowed & watching his face was glorious

Sad tears - 5 weeks ago or so with worry when DH was signed off work with stress

PinguDance · 16/12/2018 20:34

I never cried at anything until I was about 25 when suddenly I started crying at anything and everything. I shed a tear this morning reading Goodnight Mister Tom. Having said that I don’t remember crying at any of the times I might have been expected to - family deaths etc. At those times I’m very practical so I think the emotion leaks out at every other opportunity!

DonkeyPunch88 · 16/12/2018 20:35

Couple of times over the last few weeks. DP is in one of his horrible phases, I'm also really sleep deprived due to DD2 waking lots in the night, DS1 is currently very hard to get to go to school, he's not coping well with the transition to senior school so every morning is a huge battle. He's also hitting hormonal stage like a train and can be very nasty to me.
Sometimes it all gets a bit much. Usually it's only a 5 minute bawl in my car then I manage to pull myself together again.
