The 48 hour rule.

DD was sick just before 8am this morning. Thankfully for me this means (assuming she isn't sick again) that she will be able to go to the childminder at 8.30am on Tuesday as 48 hours will have passed.

But this got me thinking. What if she had been sick at 9am? Would it still be acceptable to send her in given that she still had 30 minutes to go? And if 9am is ok, what about 10am? Or 11am? How strict would you be? I'm not sure either way but I'm waiting for some potatoes to boil and thought it would be interesting to see the responses!

It’s always a conundrum!! I think I’m rality if one of mine was sick anything up to about midday Sunday then I would send them in on the Tuesday morning so I guess roughly 3 hours leeway if they’d been ok from that point on.

In reality that should say, not I’m rality!!

Pretty sure my childminder would take a similar approach. Not sure about schools though.
