What Christmas present did you get as a child that you'll never forget?

For me it was a cabbage patch doll when everyone was going mad for them in the 80's. My mum swore blind for months that they'd sold out and it was gonna happen for me. I remember unwrapping her and being overjoyed, and my mum having that smug look on her face Grin. 20-odd years later I inadvertently named my DD after the CP doll's middle name Blush nothing ever beat that present! She's still in my attic (the doll. Not my mum)

A home made dolls house made by my grandad as no one. Could afford the 'real' sindy house, all furnished with off cuts of carpets and curtains etc,

My Little Pony house thing.

I got the Show Stable one year, absolutely loved it. I had two sisters and at various times one got the Dream Castle and one the grooming parlour so we had a whole Pony world, which was fantastic. I still more than 30 years later have the stable in its box with all the ponies, it is a bit worse for wear though.

Me and my sisters furbies. My mum was and is shit and getting toys in advance and I'm sure you all remember the madness of trying to get a furby. So my dad went every night to the toy shop near his work trying to get one. It was a week before Christmas and we were being gently prepped for disappointment.

But finally he found them in-stock. They were limited to one per customer, so he paid someone to go in a buy one for him so we both had one.

We couldn't believe we both got a furby!! It was the best Christmas ever. And the story always reminds me that no matter what my dad has my back and I'm so lucky to have him.

When I was about ten, I was in a shop with my mum. They had this awesome Angelica (Rugrats) key ring. She was on a tricycle, the wheels moved and everything. I really wanted it. My mum said no. I was upset.

Luckily, 'Santa' must have heard about it, because it was in my stocking on Christmas morning. Grin

Not anything too amazing or life altering. But I was so chuffed, because I was very upset that I wasn't allowed the Angelica.
