Both my ds presented as allergic because they work vomit up any formula
Elder ds was fine with other dairy
Younger one now appears to be doing the same and is worse with ready made formula is it just too rich ? I’m really confused neither could keep it down at all but they aren’t allergic to dairy

How old is your baby? Are they usually bf and this is the first/occasional formula feed?

He’s 10 months now but first tried formula at 8 weeks (aptamil) and was sick
Tried hipp to at various other times and he’s always sick
I eat dairy and bf rest of time. Was Same with older ds and they can tolerate other dairy foods I cannot work out why formula is any different
Tbh I just wanted a break sometimes but it hasn’t worked out ! I’m intrigued as to why neither of them could keep formula down ??

How much are you giving them? Milk comes a lot faster from a bottle than a breast so much easier to overfeed.

He’s only had tiny amounts prob 2/3 oz max ever but also when I’ve made porridge with formula hes also vomited a lot
He’s 100% not allergic to dairy same with other ds as had tests so I’m totally baffled

Still vomits with the powder milk just not as much
Never vomits any other time. I even tried the milk myself once and I was fine I was worried something was wrong! I just wondered if anyone else had had a similar issue as it’s totally confusing me

Could they be allergic to one of the other ingredients? Aptamil has fish oil, palm oil, whey, vegetable oils as well as a lot of other things in it. One of mine was very allergic to baby porridge and we didn’t realise until we checked the ingredients how many extra things were in it.

My DS was ff from 7 days old, but could never stomach the ready made stuff. I made up the powder exactly as directed though, but I don’t think it’s identical to the ready made.

When you say they’re not allergic, are you sure they don’t have a non-IGE allergy to it?

I’m only asking because I see a lot of posts where MNers think their LO isn’t allergic to milk because they’re not wheezing, don’t have eczema or are not vomiting constantly but you can still be allergic without those symptoms.
