Vintagebeads · 16/12/2018 13:03

11-13 t love game of life,it's never mentioned in these threads but my two love it.
Bananagrams also another popular one in our house.

ShovingLeopard · 16/12/2018 13:04

Pit is fantastic. So fast, and so much fun.

FadedRed · 16/12/2018 13:05

One of the best and simplest card games for a mixed age, mixed ability group is Newmarket. Save a bit of small change (1p & 2p’s) to give the children a little money and play for pennies (the kids get to keep their winnings) Short games with a potential to win five times in each game, easy to teach and works for groups from three to twenty people playing.

My ds loves the card game uno and heads up? I think it’s called you can download it on your phone whenever his friends are round they always play it.

imsorryiasked · 16/12/2018 13:21

Dobble and uno are suitable for everyone. Easy to learn and fun to play

Galvantula · 16/12/2018 13:23

I'd second Dobble, mine seem to love it. And Uno.

GreenEggsHamandChips · 16/12/2018 13:25

Age group? number of players(roughly)?

ShovingLeopard · 16/12/2018 13:51

Yes, Newmarket is great. I used to love playing it with grandparents when I was a child.

Love Letter is good. It’s a very simple card game.

Qwerkle is amazing and very easy to play for a wide range of ages.

Obama Llama is daft fun

UrbaneSprawl · 16/12/2018 16:59

Simple ones that even Uncle Bernard can pick up after a morning on the cooking sherry include No Thanks and Skull.

More involved games that work well with lots of people include Masquarade, Sushi Go, Coup and Anomia.

Racing Demon is another old faithful that doesn’t need anything more than normal playing cards.

Camel Up, Isle of Skye, Dixit and Port Royal are some of our favourite games to play as a family.

NeverTwerkNaked · 16/12/2018 17:04

Bears vs Babies is fun.

Ours all like game of life, monopoly, king of Tokyo and Labryinth too

fleuriepeninsula · 16/12/2018 17:04

Phase 10 is great for adults or anyone who has outgrown UNO.

Popfan · 16/12/2018 21:28

Exploding kittens is good!
