School exclusion & consequences

DC is seven and has behavioural issues, hitting and kicking other kids. I know these will have to be tackled, and we have treatment with a psychologist ongoing.
The behaviour (which is totally unacceptable, I know this) has resulted in a total three days of exclusion on two separate occasions.
This will of course go on the school records. Does anyone have experience if having multiple incidents of exclusion on your child's record has had any impact on them moving into secondary or anywhere else? I know this has to be tackled and am tackling it... I would just like to be prepared for anything further out. Thank you!

A record of exclusions will impact if you are considering sending him to a private or independent school.

If he ends up having an EHCP, then, in theory, a secondary school could say that that they are not able to meet his needs, but that would not be as a result purely of him having exclusions on his school record.
