What’s happening in your house today?

All welcome, on your own or with an extended family of 30 Smile

I’m lounging in bed with coffee and Mumsnet while the DCs play with their Sylvanian Families.

The house is like you wouldn’t believe and DD has a friend coming at 3pm. I’m going to try to clean up the worst of it but need to be realistic.

Then going to make a plan for the week. Hoping to get out at 5 to see a friend’s choir perform locally, even if I have to go on my own. Ideally though I’d take the whole family and we’d have a Christmas outing (arguments optional).

You?

DC are away to church with their GPs DH is at work for an hour getting ready for the week ahead and I'm still lounging in y jammies drinking tea watching friends and mnetting. Family outing to the cinema to see the grinch after lunch then uniforms lunches and general preparation for the week ahead. Hoping to start wrapping santa presents after the DC go to bed instead of the usual waiting until Christmas eve night. Can't believe it's just over a week to Christmas. [santa]

Its 7:00 am here
Dh is in bed reading, and waiting for the coffee to brew
Ds (19) was up dang late last night, so he is asleep and will be for a bit
I am getting ready to go glassing in a few minutes, so trying to find my bag and rake andstuff while also waiting for coffee to brew
I think I'll drag DHs ass out of bed and to the beach as well, it will be nice to have some company.

After the beach, its lunch and finishing the last bit of Amazoning , and then the guys will go get the tree while I have a nap.

Tonight we have a few couple coming over to watch a movie and drinks, after supper, so that's about it

I didn’t sleep well at all last night, so got up early and watched breakfast news with lots of tea, then sorted out the washing and have just woken up sleepy head DH and DC with sausage sandwiches.

Me & DD are going out in an hour or so to do a bit of Christmas shopping. When we get back I’m going to finally write my Christmas cards ready for posting tomorrow

I’ve had a non stop week of Christmas parties, school stuff, work stuff etc...and another one to go. Feeling knackered, so looking forward to an early night.

Dh is working on our new kitchen that I've been nagging him for weeks that it has to be done before Christmas! he's cutting the wood tops for the island at the moment then I think he's hoping to make a start on the tiling.

I'm having a much lazier day, walks with dogs and a long bath!

Sat on the sofa in my pjs drinking cinder toffee coffee, mumsnetting while DS3 watches spongebob

DS13 is on his PS4
DD15 is still fast asleep

I'm scrolling through the Yummly app trying to find some inspiration for a Keto friendly dinner

Dog got me up at 5.30 as she needed to be let out. I had cleaned the kitchen and the living room by 7am. Sat browsing Mumsnet until I took dog out at 8am. Back at 9am, showered dog, fed dog and went up for a soak in bath. Dd got up at 11.30 made her bacon rolls, gave her tablets as she is feeling under the weather. Just made a cuppa expecting family round at 2pm will feed them, wash up and wait for ds to get back from exh's then I will lock up and watch catch up tv before an early night.

Crunchymum · 16/12/2018 12:13

Just back from a mini food shop, sausages are on (sausage rolls for brunch). Kids are running riot and I'm just about the feed the baby.

DP is taking the older 2 Xmas shopping and I'm going to wrap what we already have.

MIL is back from an extended holiday so she'll be round later. I'm going to make a big pot of Bolognese for us all. May make a start on the Baileys as well Grin

mycatistoo · 16/12/2018 12:18

In bed with coffee and the cat (in US) trying to do Christmas shopping but somehow ended up on mn.

We put all the Christmas decs up yesterday so house looks lovely.

DH is working today so ds and I will probably fart around making Christmas decorations and do the 13952 loads of washing we have from being away.

Need to clean out the chickens too.

All go here.

JudgeRulesNutterButter · 16/12/2018 12:19

DD (5) has chicken pox and is reading in her bedroom. DS (2) has a stinking cold and is playing cars. I have a stinking cold and am enjoying a brief moment where no one is pestering me. DH is the only healthy one and he’s gone shopping to escape the plague house; can’t blame him frankly!

Just back from a Christmas market. DP gone to meet a friend. I will have a coffee and make a must do list for today then make granola while listening to records on full blast (detached house).

Well OP my Sunday has turned mental. Got dressed went to kids party, worst organised most stressful party ever. Took an hour to do a 10 minute journey to the play centre due to traffic, the centre was rammed and noisy (I expected that bit) the staff member doing the boys party was useless and the poor mum was so stressed, took another hour to get home. Drivers were all over and pulling in and out so I've now got post road rage bad mood syndrome (it's a thing) Ive come home and DD1 was still in her room watching tv, not done the pots she was supposed to, dp was still on his game and not done the jobs he said he'd sort out. Needles to say they've both been told, I'm now stomping about doing an angry clean (which is actually a good thing for the house ha ha), DP has trundled off to the shop with a list and a sorry as he left, DD1 is now doing the pots and keeps asking if I want a cup of tea or a biscuit. DD2 who was as good as gold well we were out must sense mummy is stressed because she gave me a hug, thanked me for taking her and has gone to her room and started tidying up with out being asked ha ha. I can't wait for bed time already BUT I'm still seeing the positive, the way I'm cleaning now means the jobs will get done that were down to do tomorrow and I'll hopefully sleep better tonight lol x
