Advice you never thought you’d be able to give? *almost sporn*

I never thought I’d be able to advise someone that when you have a catheter fitted and you have disconnected from your leg/day bag and connected to your big night bag on the stand it’s pretty important that you remember to pick up the stand when you walk out of the bathroom... I just dragged a, thankfully empty and so pretty light, bag and stand across the bathroom.

Can’t wait to have the bloody thing taken out on Christmas Eve.

I doubt anyone will remember about a year ago I posted about my bartholins cyst I was trying to burst but it wouldn’t? Well, after showing my fanny to half of England (practice nurse, gp, gynocologist registrar, gynaecology consultant, urogynocologist and eventually a urologist) they finally got an mri and figured it out. It was a urethral diverticulum which is apparently pretty rare, go me! I had surgery a couple of weeks ago and because they had to cut open about 2 inches of my urethra and stitch it back together I get a catheter.
At least I don’t need to go for a wee ever!

Arrrghhh....good job it was empty ( crosses legs)

I have had a few catheters in my life.. kidney failure due to pre eclampsia, broken neck, 'just'went into retention after a bit of gynae work.... it's a horrible thing to have to endure. And the first few wees after it's taken out....😳

Hope you get sorted out soon
