DS has applied to the Army, he hopes to go to Sandhurst but if unsuccessful would look to go in anyway and work through the ranks.
He applied last month hoping to start in September.
Bearing in mind the news this week, was he early enough or, realistically, does he need to be looking something else up for September while he waits for his application to go through?
If he's unsuccessful in his application for officer training, will they automatically put him forward for the ranks or will he need to start a new application?
Just out of curiosity, we have a postcode which marks him out as deprived. Does Sandhurst look to positively discriminate in favour of state school students from poor areas I.e. like some universities do to improve diversity?
This is the only thing be wants to do but it does feel like all eggs in one basket.
