Any recommendations, please? It's for a Christmas gift. Not flavoured. In Spain so can get lots of different brands here.

Christmas gift for whom? English relative or Spanish person?

When I was in Madrid I came back loaded with extra-virgin olive oil. Didn't buy brands but if you go into one of the fancy ham shops, they all sell them and will recommend something.

Thanks, for an English relative who's "foodie".

You want a ham shop with a whole ham hanging up where you can see the foot of the pig and there is a little black cup at the bottom of the ham - this is apparently how you know it is good ham. It would then also be a good shop for buying other Spanish stuff like oil, anchovies etc.

Actually if you could give them the present of the ham, they would love you for ever. We brought a packet home and it was almost a religious experience.

yes, we are very foodie

Thanks. Yes we get a jamón each year and they're great. But this person just need some oil. I'll try some jamón shops today.
