Christmas films for kids.

We have regular film nights with the DC. They are 7.

So far winners have been

Flight of the Navigator
Short Circuit
D.A.R.Y.L
Ghostbusters
Ghostbusters 2
The Goonies
Indiana Jones
Back to the Future
Elf
All the Free Willy films

As you can see we tend to go with older films because, well they seem better tbh.

We're a bit stumped as to what next though.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Big is on our list already.

The nativity films

We watched arthur Christmas this morning (currently on offer for free in skystore) we really enjoyed it! Elf is on tomorrow but I think I enjoy that more than the kids

JassyRadlett · 15/12/2018 14:54

I saw Arthur Christmas last night with my 7yo - we both loved it.

Recent hits here have been Nativity and Home Alone.

Our 7 year old likes The Grinch (the most recent animated one), Home Alone, Nativity (and Danger in the Manger, but Dude Where's my Donkey isn't great) Arthur Christmas and The Polar Express is a strong favourite. We also do a double bill of The Snowman and The Snowman and Snowdog (but he has loved those since his second Christmas, so it's a tradition!)

Invisimamma · 15/12/2018 15:04

Home alone

The Christmas chronicles on Netflix really is very good!

Sparkers · 15/12/2018 15:21

Oh yes, I forgot. They love the Home Alone films, and really liked Richie Rich too.

Labyrinth
ET
The original Star Wars

Sparkers · 15/12/2018 15:25

They also liked Jumanji, both the old and the new. I'm remembering all the films they like. We have film night most Friday nights, so there's been a few!

Oh sorry, you said Christmas films!

Sparkers · 15/12/2018 15:26

ET is also a big favourite. Also liked The Neverending Story. Not tried Labyrinth yet, but definitely adding that to the list.
