HSBC. Do 'Pending transactions' come off the available balance?

I've just logged onto my banking and I have £36 available and it says at the top I have pending transactions (direct debits) totalling £50 on Monday.

Does anyone know if they have already come off my balance or do I need to put £14 in there?

I've looked online and can't see an answer

I think that the pending transactions come off your available balance. Mine always does

The pending to go in ones aren’t showing on my balance so I don’t think they do.

Maybe ring them / e-chat though cos I wouldn't want you to go overdrawn.

I hate ringing them takes forever to get through

I always get two balances. Full balance and available balance. Available balance
is what’s left once pending transactions come off

Also with HSBC, if it is direct debits you'll need to put in more funds. They're slightly different to pending transactions/available balance which are card payments that have not yet cleared.

That said I'm shocked it takes you very long to get through, never personally had an issue with them (unlike other banks I use).
