I'm so bored and frustrated with this nasty virus that I've now had for 5 weeks. I don't seem to be getting better.
It started as tonsilitis, with cold/flu symptoms. The sore throat and cough have pretty much cleared up now but I am going through every other thing, sinus pain, ear pain, swollen glands... I'm feeling really dizzy and weak, with shivery spells and hot flushes, but no temperature to report. All I can do is sit in bed or in front of the tv. If I sit completely still and take painkillers I feel kind of ok.
I have seen the doctor twice, she sent me for blood tests but thinks it is something viral, and said they are seeing a lot of people with long-lasting viruses at the moment. Apparently it can make you feel rotten for weeks.
Has anyone had this virus and recovered, rather than died of the terrible complications that google is telling me of?!
