Warning over chicken pox sorry a pity thread!

This is my third night spent with my DD 2 in hospital having IV antibiotics after getting cellulitis from chicken pox. My elder DD has it and it was fine but it has knocked my little one for six! Didn’t know in a million years it would cause this so watch your little ones if they do have chicken pox especially if they have it by their eye!!!

I’m tired and emotional so apologise for over dramatic thread!!

Oh no, your poor dd
Mine were luckily all okay with CP.
Obviously a bit uncomfortable at times and maybe some disrupted sleep but generally fine.
My niece however was hospitalised with the same thing as your little one. She had one actually on her eyeball, I never realised this was possibly until i saw it for myself.
Hope your dd is up on her feet again soon.
I’m currently struggling through bloody shingles for the second time in a year.
Considering the vaccine.
Any idea how long you’ll be in hospital for?

Oh no shingles is horrendous! I’ve never had it but my DM had it and it knocked her for six and she’s as strong as an ox! Yeah that was my LO had we are finally home now but she’s still not herself and the antibiotics are going straight through her so it’s a bit of poop party in the Bacardi101 household but very glad to have her home! Hope you feel better soon
