Anyone bought a Hearst Magazines subscription as a gift?

Is there a physical item to wrap? It mentions a free gift box but the first issue isn’t until a month later. Confused

I bought a few last year and paid a little extra for a gift box which I think contained a note to say that a subscription to X magazine has been bought as a gift

I got the good housekeeping offer of 5 issues for £5. The first one will be delivered to my recipient in January and they gave me the option of emailing an e-card to myself or the recipient so I sent it to me so I can print that off and hand it over on the day.

I usually buy the issues that is in the shops now and wrap it.
The subscriptions don’t start until next month!

I do it every year for mum. I usually print out something on the computer saying she has a subscription for a year. The recipient can be sent an email but mum wouldn't be able to deal with that.Grin
That's a good idea about buying the current issue to wrap if it's their first subscription.
