If you were ever going to write a book, what would it be about?

Fiction? Non-fiction?

You've heard the phrase "everyone has a book inside them" what would yours be about?

Mine would be fantasy.

Many years ago I went crazy on world building, based on a whim I'd had on a holiday, and had a huge file on my computer just making up a world - its physical, cultural and social elements etc. I had a few stories in my head, but whenever I'd start to sort out an actual plot, I'd get frustrated that it wasn't as good as I felt it should be, and never ended up doing much actual writing. It's just been something I've played with in my head for the past c 15 years.

Fiction. Probably fantasy/romance style.

It would probably be something on the ontology and epistemology of applied psychology practice. I suspect I'd sell less than ten copies and no one would read the whole thing, ever.

I guess I could add in random sex scenes, for spice.

I am toying with an idea at the moment.

I've written half a novel set against the background of the miners strike. Basically it's about not really belonging anywhere when you've been educated out of your class, with lots of Welsh banter and 80s jukebox music thrown in. Oh and a bit of sex.

It might be a tad autobiographical

Tinkly you need to meet my DH. The mior's strike was his finest hour, he's been educated out of his class. And he'd always be interested in a bit of sex!

I started writing mine, but got bored. I wanted to do something in the same line as the fucking fairy books. Daisy Meadows? With Jack Frost and the elves and Kirsty and the other one?

Mine was set at sea. Had a talking Dolphin (good), a couple of mermaids (good), a stupid shark (bad). Can't remember the rest now. But I planned to retire on it!

Mine would be fiction, set in N Ireland, maybe in the 80s or 90s,but about the absurdities of it, the black humour. Not an 'issues' type book, more a 'why is this place so mad?' book.
