My DS has come home with a Christmas quiz from school. It has pictures of things that are associated with Christmas, for example there is a picture of the band Steps with Xmas written over the top = “step into Christmas” or a polar bear driving a train = “Polar Express”.

We are stumped by a picture of the French flag with “I AM” written on it. Anyone have any idea?

I think these kids of thing are a bit like cryptic crosswords in that there are a load of accepted conventions, such as the positions of words in relation to each other. Plus they are all cultural referencws which may be different for each person

"I am" on a French flag is about "Je suis Charlie" and the attack on the Hebdo offices on 7 Jan 2015. I have no idea what this has to do with Xmas though!

It's a French flag to indicate the language and I am to indicate these are the words.

So I found out on google that Je Suis France was a band and did a Christmas song called "Baby don't get stoned"
