DD started reception in September from then until they break up for the Christmas holidays each reception child has been paired with a year 6 pupil 'partner' while they get used to the routine of assemblies, lunch in the dining hall etc.

I'd like to get a little Christmas gift for DD's partner from DD to say thank you for taking such good care of her but I don't really know what's cool or naff for that age group?

I think they're 10 turning 11 in year 6 are they? Any suggestions of something around £5/£10 that I could get please?

Something from smiggle?

Mood ring? Gimmicky enough to appeal to all dd’s friends in y6 last year, even non-girly dd.

My DD would probably sell me for a Lush Bath Bomb or a Costa Giftcard.

My dd has just bought her 11yo friend a notebook and teddy from tk max.

Stationary seems to be a big hit with most girls this age

They have some little bottles of Ted Baker body spray in Boost for £4. DDs friends are all including this in their secret Santa's

Neon sheep. The shop. Not an actual sheep.

On New Look, there's a section called 'Christmas and Gifts' and then you can choose 'for Girls', everything in there would be appropriate for that age group.

My friends daughter is the same age, and for Christmas I have made her up a small goodie bag, which includes things like, a face mask, bath bomb, large unicorn beaker with lid and straw, some subtle make up, chocolate and a unicorn phone ring from ASOS. Individually all we're just a couple of quid.

Brilliant, thank you all so much I know where I'm splodging now. So hard to buy for an age you aren't familiar with x
