What would you buy with an Amazon US gift card?

We are UK based and apparently they are not transferable to the UK site. I think (but I may be wrong), that phones and tech are a pain in the arse to buy abroad for compatibility reasons. It needs to be something we won't want to exchange for being the wrong size. Or possibly something we can sell on for what we paid for it.

Any suggestions? (It's a decent amount of money).

We have bought iPhones and apple watches from the states with no problem. Some tech is fine overseas x

I’d stock up on american food!

Buy something very lightweight and make sure they will post to the UK. Something made of silk?

Hmm, another issue is that when I've bought stuff from the US before it has been held at customs until I've paid the duty. I don't really want to be spending in order to spend.

Is it an actual physical gift card? You could always sell the card!

Sell it, or try and link my kindle to Amazon.com and fill it with books!

TinklyLittleLaugh · 13/12/2018 17:22

No unfortunately it is a credit to our account. Bugger, I'd have bought DD's phone with it if I'd known it was okay.

Ooh, could I link my kindle to it? I like that idea!

I don't know! But I reckon it's worth trying!
Can you buy sterling Amazon vouchers on Amazon.com????

TinklyLittleLaugh · 13/12/2018 19:28

Sadly you cannot buy sterling vouchers.
