Can a baby eat chilli?

DS is 11 months and is a really good eater, hasn’t turned his nose up to anything. Would it be ok to give him a bit of chilli con carne? It has red chillis, hot chilli powder and a bit of cayenne pepper in it (as well as a stock cube and seasoning so perhaps a bit salty?)

Unless the chilli is rancid their bowl movements will be fine.

People who think mexican, indian, etc food will cause an upset stomach/shits always make me think about them.
