Giving gift to surgeon

My DD has had a couple of operations which thankfully have been successful and she's due a final check up in January . Just wondered would it be ok to take a gift in to the surgeon to day thanks for everything ? Just chocs or biscuits or something , to maybe share with theatre staff etc ? Or is it not the done thing?

That's absolutely fine and I'm sure it would be much appreciated. Something to share with the rest of the tram would be nice, theatre staff tend to get forgotten IME.

I think something to share with the team would be lovely.

Rest of the team, sharing with a tram full of people would be excessive Grin

We gave the surgeon that operated on our daughter a bottle of nice red wine, we also gave biscuits and sweets to theatre staff, ICU and the ward.

I don't think they can take a monetary gift (like an iPhone) but yummies to share are fine.

Yes I think it's a lovely idea. As pp have said, something to share with the theatre nurses, any other surgeon who assisted and anaesthetic team would be very thoughtful.

Must be under £50 or they have to declare it.
