It’s been in for a few years. Partner said last night he could ‘feel’ it when I was on top.
My period is due in 8 days.
I’m freaking out - could I be at risk of pregnancy? It’s the only time we’ve had sex this month.

I hate this!! What should I do next?

Have you had a feel around yourself and located the strings? Does it feel different to usual? I’d get it checked out just for peace of mind - a sexual health clinic may be able to do same if next day appointments if your GP practice can’t or won’t - but there isn’t necessarily an issue. Depending on where you are in your cycle your cervix can be higher or lower and a little softer and particularly in some positions that could be why your partner is suddenly feeling it. I’ve occasionally had a partner say they can but checked and all is fine.

I’m trying to find out if I know what type it is to see how long they last and when is should be changed. Do copper coils all latvthe same amount of time? Does anyone know?

No they don’t all last the same time, It depends on the type, some can last 5-10 years
