lucysmam · 13/12/2018 20:50

The form is finally sent after much huffing at the laptop & flapping because the closing date is tomorrow and not next Friday like I thought yesterday.

@AdamNichol what's PFTS?

@longwayoff I hope your 'aaarrrggghhh' moment has passed by now!

My argh moment has been realising that our Christmas tree (bought 8 days ago) is well and truly dead. Properly doornails dead. If you so much as brush it needles rain down leaving totally bare branches.

Fortunately the garden centre were very accommodating and have replaced it free of charge. However this did still mean 'de'decorating the tree (making enormous snow drifts of needles) then taking tree from house (leaving a snail trail of needles through house and garden!) Then tidying those, before erecting new tree, putting on lights ready for dds to decorate tomorrow.

I am very grateful for the wonderful customer service, however that is nearly 4 hours of my life wasted today because our tree died!

widget that made me chuckle at "snail trail of needles" Grin. Poor tree though not getting to see Christmas Xmas Sad. I always consider a real tree but always use my big one (and have a minor 'aarrgghh' moment when I remember just how big it is!)

We have a 6 ft artificial tree and a 7ft real one! So it's madness, DH and kids are tree nuts!

Honestly the trail was slightly disturbing, it was like the blood trail a murder leaves when dragging a body! I felt like we have committed an act of Christmas carnage and we will be haunted by the bloody elf as punishment!

lucysmam · 13/12/2018 21:21

Oooh, a 7ft real one would be lush! Dd2 wouldn't get to laugh at me putting this one together then & prickling myself when I realise there are several branches I haven't fluffed before assembling it Xmas Grin
