It's DS first school nativity/play. My Mum is coming too. So we'll get up, head and collect her, get back into the village at about 8ish. Go to the local cafe and have some breakfast and drop DS off at 8.45. Then head to the church :)

Any tips?

He's even got a "line" to say "Please think about all the people who are not happy at Christmas. Amen" Sad < blubby face

My tip would be to bear in mind that it can be difficult to find a good seat or a seat at all. At my DC's primary parents started queuing up to an hour before the doors opened and often the PTA had saved seats.

The main downside for me was that sometimes DC became distracted because they were frantically looking for me in the audience and couldn't see me tucked away at the back.

So it's worth forewarning DS that he may not be able to see you, but not to worry as you will definitely be able to see him and you will be cheering him on.

Hanky, and if you wear mascara make sure it's waterproof.

He knows it by heart. And I myself have struggled so bloody much with anxiety and depression for the last decade (and the rest) and so, to me, the line is even MORE important and special

Thankssorry if I sounded flippant - though it's good practical advice. Hope you and your mum have a lovely time.
