What's the best way to transfer money from overseas?

I've booked a hotel for family from USA when they come to visit in the spring. They found it hard to book from their end so I did it and hotel wanted full payment upfront.

What's the easiest way for them to transfer the money to me? Paypal?

PayPal or BACs. Either way it's going to cost you in currency conversion if they send it in dollars so make sure they send it in pounds

TransferWise is good too, and cheap

PayPal. I transferred a large amount to my son in the USA via PayPal no problem. You just transfer money from your bank account to PayPal. Then send it on to the person you want to have it
