His plan of connecting with the people by addressing them in a broadcast from a golden chamber in a palace is working about as well as you might expect.

I'm not French, but my understanding is that the gilets jaunes have halted their protests to free up the police so they can concentrate on catching the Strasbourg terrorist. Sorry, can't remember where I read this.

Thanks. I must admit I did feel this was a Poor time to add to the polices woes. I belive many police agree with the jillets plight but its their job to keep people safe.
