Xmas present - WWYD?

I have received a present from someone at work, with instructions to not open it until Xmas day.
This person will be covering for me for a couple of months in a volunteer post and we get on well.
My WWYD is this -
Should I give them a gift back?
Should I open my gift early so I can get them something of equalish value back?

Help!

Ooh thanks! I would probably just open it properly, and I wanted to but I didn’t know if it was too cheeky!

Ok so I have peeked and I know what it is. I can get my colleague a similar value present to give them tomorrow, phew!

BigcatLittlecat · 12/12/2018 20:51

What is it? I'm intrigued now!

MyKingdomForBrie · 12/12/2018 20:56

Come onnnn what's in the parcel?!

WhatsUpHun · 12/12/2018 20:57

I've just done this, checked out what I have been given to make sure I give similar value back

Stompythedinosaur · 12/12/2018 21:21

I would give a token present back.

PeachMelba78 · 12/12/2018 22:17

Oops sorry! It’s a private joke between us of some hard to get hold of crisps! I will get them some nail polish as they always do their nails and we discuss brands and colours regularly.

Cheese XL then I'm assuming. Yum.

PeachMelba78 · 13/12/2018 07:56

No, a certain brand of salt and vinegar! Since being pregnant I have been very fussy with crisps so I am touched that my colleague made the effort.

That's such a sweet gift.
