I've had the flu jab for the last 8 years approximately as I have asthma. This year my husband who no longer has regular inhalers received an invitation to get his jab but I didn't receive one. Popped into the GP surgery and asked the receptionist about this, she told me that although I have asthma, as I only had my blue inhaler prescribed to me twice last year that I don't 'fit the criteria '? I did point out that I take a purple inhaler every day, which as I understand helps to control my asthma therefore lessening the need for my blue inhaler - hence not needing it unless I am unwell. But no, firm headshake from receptionist I do not meet the flu jab criteria. I am confused!! Anybody out there who can shed some light on this for me?
