Im debating getting some of these for my dad but are they really worth the money?

I got some because I have plantar fasciitis and they are very supportive. I can wear them with orthotics and they are very comfortable. They are expensive though so I'm hoping they last a few years.

I wouldn't bother if i were you. DH's mum bought him a pair and they fell apart within a few weeks. I know two other people who this happened to but maybe they've changed the design since.

I love my Camper slippers and they do them for men too.

Tinaarena · 11/12/2018 13:09

Thanks for the recomendation whathaveifound he specifically asked for indoor and outdoor ones that he can change over to and these where the only ones ive found so far that do that. Hmm im worried about the fabric on them if hes outdoors a lot though.

I have some and I love them!

Thistles24 · 11/12/2018 13:12

I bought the north face ones for my brother a few years ago, they lasted well and were indoor/outdoor.

Johnnycomelately1 · 11/12/2018 13:13

The fabric is thick felt and they come with soles that you clip on to wear them outside.

Crimbobimbo · 11/12/2018 13:15

My husband is on his third pair in 3 and a half years. He's strangely wedded to them despite them getting a hole in the toe each time....

glamorousgrandmother · 11/12/2018 13:22

I've had mine for a couple of months and they seem quite sturdy but I don't wear them outdoors.

Belleende · 11/12/2018 14:19

Fell apart in weeks.

pointyshoes · 11/12/2018 14:43

I've just bought a pair in TK Maxx for less than £30! They're OK, but I now know I'd never pay full price for them.

Ginismyfriend · 11/12/2018 14:46

I also got some from TKMaxx and love them. I wear them pretty much all day long when I’m at home and have had no issues with the quality.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 11/12/2018 14:46

Following with interest as I have coveted a pair for years now but never seem to pull the trigger.

I wear slippers in the house and it would be useful to go in garden with puppy etc but just wondered if you can wash the inside bit?
I throw my slippers in the wash every so often when they begin to smell and I think otherwise they'd be manky very fast?

@TawnyPippit I still get mini boden mailings and catalogues and haven't ordered from them in about 8 years...

starfishy · 11/12/2018 14:58

Fell apart after a week.

uggmum · 11/12/2018 14:59

I would also recommend the camper slippers. My dh has worn them for years. They are very durable

RatRolyPoly · 11/12/2018 15:10

Haflinger are another one who do amazing slippers; they last yonks and are blissfully warm.

myohmywhatawonderfulday · 11/12/2018 16:15

I like them but for me the outdoor sole never worked. It didn’t fit and didn’t stay on. It’s better to have slippers and outdoor shoes in my opinion! But the slippers are comfy and have stayed looking new and I have had them two years.

glamorousgrandmother · 11/12/2018 16:50

I'm really surprised at people saying they fell apart.

BikeTart · 11/12/2018 17:52

I love mine and they're probably 4 years old now. Expensive, but cost per wear etc etc, worth it.

MincePieMum · 11/12/2018 19:03

I'd recommend Hotter Relax. I think they have 20% off at the moment. DH goes through £20 Dunlop slippers in about 6 months. Had these over a year without any sign of wear. So comfy he accidentally wore them to work!!

OneStepMoreFun · 11/12/2018 19:08

I don't get the need to wear your slippers outside. Just have a pair of crocs by the back door.
