Does anyone here have ADHD/ADD?

I’ve recently realised I have ADHD - the inattentive type. What a revelation! It explains so much in my life and it’s a relief to know it’s not just me being a thicko Grin

Is it worth getting a diagnosis? Having got a diagnosis for my son I know it’s not much more than a bit of paper, but at least it gives him the extra support he needs in school.
My other thought was medications.
I know it is popular in America to have medication for this but if I’m honest the thought scares me. How do you feel on medication? Is it worth taking?

Has anyone else experienced ADHD in adulthood? I would love any tips on how to keep my thoughts on track.

Yes, getting diagnosed really helped, I took medicine for a while, it helped me focus, but they had a big negative for mep, I wouldn't eat and it make me pick my skin a lot Confused
Now I just have lists and a timetable, I use the cozi app and literally have my entire day timetabled down to the minute, from free time to what time to eat, to when to shower.
