... for some self care time. What would you do? For me I'd have a nice bubble bath and read some of my book, really relax. Would love to hear some of yours x

What a lovely thread idea. I'd have a glass of wine, sit in bed and either read or do a bit of embroidery.
(Instead I'm going to do the washing up and put some ironing away, fun.)

MaMisled · 10/12/2018 19:13

Hot bubble bath, clean pyjamas, new book, box of white Lindt Lindor, milky coffee and bed!

Lookatmemeow · 10/12/2018 19:13

Watch the most recent episode of Outlander whilst in the bath

adoggymum · 10/12/2018 19:15

Run away from my current life and get as far away as I can in that amount of time 😂😂 is Paris doable do you think?

mumof2sarah · 10/12/2018 19:20

@Kismetjayn apart from the wine (T-total due to illness) that sounds like perfection. I'm just starting to learn to crochet and I think if it wasn't for getting the wool wet I'd be doing that too ha ha.

@MaMisled change the white Lindt to the hazelnut ones and ditch the coffee it sounds like bliss lol x

@Lookatmemeow I've never seen that, will have a look at what it is. I usually have YouTube on in the bath but lately I've taken to reading again x

@adoggymum I doubt Paris but I'd happily extend the ask to 5 hours for you ha ha... somebody book a plane ticket ASAP!

Bath and a snooze. Or a meal eaten with two hands, while it's still hot.

I'm hoping for at least some of the above tonight but probably won't get them all...DD is 12 days old and it's a good job she's beautiful because cluster feeding sucks

Sirzy · 10/12/2018 19:22

Run and then a bath.

Sitranced · 10/12/2018 19:22

Change the bedsheets then have a bubble bath and shave my legs.

Nothing beats the feeling of just shaved legs with clean sheets.

mumof2sarah · 10/12/2018 19:22

@emwithme congratulations new mummy, those first few weeks are like a bubble. I hope you manage at least one of them. I started timing my meals for around the babies nap/after bottle zone out. I was sometimes eating at random times but at least I was eating with two hands lol x

Sleep

36degrees · 10/12/2018 19:22

Watch a film and do some knitting. Get a nice cup of tea and a face mask on.

SoyDora · 10/12/2018 19:23

38 weeks pregnant and struggling a bit... ideally I’d give birth in the next hour and a half Grin

CmdrIvanova · 10/12/2018 19:23

Gosh. Can I spend 20 minutes putting away all the clean laundry that has piled up? I think it would do me a world of good to get it away. Then a 15 minute YouTube yoga session for my poor neck and shoulders while I ran the bath, then a glass of.wine in said bath - scorching hot - and maybe something from netflix playing as I.soaked. I might use the last 5 minutes to paint my nails.

mumof2sarah · 10/12/2018 19:24

@Sirzy I'll leave the running to you ha ha. I used to do it but I just can't seem to get into it at all again x

@Sitranced I'm adding bed sheets and leg shaved to mine. That's almost as amazing as taking your bra off at the end of the day lol x

OP posts:
CmdrIvanova · 10/12/2018 19:25

SoyDora that could be a rough 90 minutes Shock

mumof2sarah · 10/12/2018 19:27

@36degrees sounds like a lovely time. I hope you manage some self care time soon x

@SexNotJenga (love the name) I'm insomniac but if I wasn't I think that could possibly have been mine lol x

@SoyDora PUUUSSSHHH haha, but seriously I hope you get to meet little one soon. Congratulations and good luck xx

@CmdrIvanova nothing better than getting all the washing away, I always think it clears the mind a little x

OP posts:
SoyDora · 10/12/2018 19:29

Haha well it’s my third baby so hoping for a quick one Grin.
I would usually say a bath, a glass of wine and a book but I get stuck like a turtle in the bath, no wine for obvious reasons and I’m too grumpy to read!

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 10/12/2018 19:29

Couple of glasses of red wine, a piece of really good cheese and a Bond film.

mumof2sarah · 10/12/2018 19:32

@SoyDora the turtle thing made me laugh then, I remember it all so well. Keeping everything crossed (obvs not legs) it'll happen soon xx

@LadyMonicaBaddingham I'm a boring cheese person, I only eat Cheshire and Lancashire but it does like a nice idea. We always have a cheese and cracker and board game night over the Christmas period and I'm not very much looking forward to it after reading that thank you xx

adoggymum · 10/12/2018 19:51

@mumof2sarah ha ha perfect- I'll go pack my bags😉😂

Knitwit101 · 10/12/2018 20:11

Tuen the electric blanket up to max then get in a roasting hot bed. I'd like to think I would read a book but would probably just fall asleep.

bringincrazyback · 10/12/2018 20:23

Work on the novel I'm writing. :)

SnuggyBuggy · 10/12/2018 20:24

Starfish under a duvet and sleep (have a baby who won't settle away from me so am bed sharing)

mumof2sarah · 11/12/2018 07:02

@Knitwit101 sounds perfection in this awful weather xx

@bringincrazyback I LOVE THIS. What genre are you writing in?x

@SnuggyBuggy I remember that phase well. I was so tired from it constantly. Hope you both manage some settled time x

OP posts:
SagelyNodding · 11/12/2018 07:05

I would go for a run then swim in the sea! But it's freezing and windy, so I'd probably go to bed with a book!
