The most beautiful love song ever....

For me, it has to be this, especially Chet Baker's version from the 1940s :
"I get along without you very well,
Of course I do,
Except to hear your name,

Or someone 's laugh that is the same....."
And the last lines:
"Except perhaps in Spring,
But I should never think of Spring,
For that would surely break my heart in two..."
It gets me every time! What song do you find beautiful?

I have to add Jesus to a Child by George Michael - DH put it on in the car earlier and I just started crying. I think I was really paying attention to the words for the first time. Heartbreaking and beautiful, GM is such a loss to music.

Bacardibabe · 10/12/2018 23:04

Excellent suggestions on here, might have to burn a new CD (yes I still do that).

I'd like to add Ingrid Michaelson's version of Can't Help Falling in Love g.co/kgs/Ywk7j4

Also Pearl Jam - Future Days.

I really love Ed Sheeran's "Nancy Mulligan."
The most beautiful breakup song for me is Nancy Kerr's "Seven Notes (Adieu my Love)." It's very emotional, but has no anger to it.

StealthPolarBear · 10/12/2018 23:34
