iPhone SE keeps crashing.

Is this happening to anyone else? The battery has been getting worse lately and now it keeps crashing. It's now just stuck on the white screen with the black Apple icon, which occasionally goes all Matrix and then goes black. The software is all updated, as are the apps. I'm nowhere near an Apple Store to take it to. Any ideas?

Free upgrade?

I also have an SE and have not updated to newest IoS as I have been told my phone may not be able to support it. Wonder if this is your issue? I think this is my last iPhone, they seem built to
become obsolete after a couple of years.

It's probably nothing more interesting than the battery going end of life. They usually last 2-3ish years and either die or limp along for another two before becoming completely useless. Batteries are worse in the cold so you often notice around iPhone release time in October. No conspiracy needed.

pontiouspilates every phone battery dies. With Androids you tend to stop getting updates after a couple of years, even the Google Nexus/Pixel phones only got about 3. Cheaper phones you may never get any at all, seems to be proportional to phone cost. Apple is currently supporting the 5s from 2013. Anyone who's had one that long would definitely need a new battery by now!

Oh, also about the SE - well, the clue is in the URL: www.imore.com/how-ios-12-making-my-iphone-se-feel-new-again

SyrilSneer · 10/12/2018 14:44

My SE did this. Apple replaced it as it was a firmware (whatever that is) issue. I’m near a Genius Bar though so was able to pop in.

babysharkah · 10/12/2018 14:45

have you got enough capacity to upgrade to the latest IOS?

BeeDogs · 10/12/2018 17:05

Yes, I've got the latest iOS. I did it last night to see if it fixed the problem but it didn't.

Just today. I think it's their way of telling me to get a new one Wink but I use PAYG so it's very expensive to buy a new one. I was hoping to get another year from this at least.

You can get a new iPhone battery for £25 at apple stores.

There are many possible reasons for your iPhone SE keeps crashing issue, like overloaded date, outdated apps, incompatible iOS software, worn-out battery, etc. You can fix with 8 solutions here according to your different causes ( www.joyoshare.com/iphone-repair/iphone-crash.html ). If you are sure about a software-related issue, you can try to repair with iOS system recovery tool, like Joyoshare UltFix, as well.
