So next Monday I'm having a breast augmentation.

This week (after being on a waiting list for a couple of months), my GP has scheduled me in for a mole removal on my face.

Do I just go for it and get the mole removal done or would it be wise to reschedule? Would it impact on going under general anaesthetic for my breast aug in any way?

Don't ask here! Speak to the secretary at the GP's practice and the plastic surgeon doing your other surgery.

The potential issue with the mole removal is infection, which might mean your other surgery couldn't go ahead. But if it's potentially cancerous that's surely the most important procedure?

As wowfudge says, get the mole treated ASAP and see what the plastic surgeon says.

Where is the mole?
I’m just thinking about the airway they’ll use for the op and how the ODP and anaesthetist will secure it in place if your mole wound and dressing might be in the way. The mole wound may also be in the way for intubation and delicate stitches may be disturbed. It’ll be a shame for you to get to the big day and to be cancelled.

Mole removals are usually quite simple ops requiring one or two stich but as with any thing like that there is a possibility of infection...speak to the plastic surgeon and ask their advice...guessing you will be able to reschedule the breast op and get another appointment quicker than doctors appointment.Personally I would get the mole done first as i woukd think its more urgent than the other but it's up to you.
