Anyone else hate having a larger chest?

I don't know if I will ever go through with having a reduction but I am so, so sick of my boobs and I have been ever since I hit puberty. They were always been bigger than my peers' and attracted comments throughout school and now seem to have settled at around 34G, which I appreciate isn't all that big compared to some people.

I absolutely cannot, for the life of me, find a bra that is comfortable. I make do during the day but can't bear to wear one inside the house or I can't relax. The problem is, when I do take my bra off, I can feel them hanging off my body and pressing on my stomach. The feeling disgusts me and I want to rip them off. When I'm lying in bed or curled up on the sofa I feel these heavy sacks hanging off my chest and getting in my way. I have backache most days and the feeling of relief when I hold them up is immense.

I dress like a frump and have done since I was about 13. I can't wear a anything with a low neckline, a high neckline, backless, too tight, too baggy, with thin straps. I hate leaving the house because it involves getting dressed, and that involves finding something to stuff my boobs into. They have been saggy since they appeared so I've felt like an old woman since I was a young teenager.

I feel so jealous when I see women with small boobs because it's something I will never have, and have never had basically since I was in primary school.

Thanks for listening to my rant. I'm feeling particularly down about it today and feel like I want to go and claw them off. Anyone else feel similarly?

DoraNora Do they make you take your bra off when they measure you in Bravissimo? I know we all have boobs, but I do baulk at the thought of stripping off to have my boobs measured. Needs must, I suppose!

Caddy whenever I've gone they leave you to put a bra on then come and adjust and check the fit. No actually standing about with no bra on . They don't actually measure anyone. All done by how a bra fits.

I live in Canada now and we actually plan a day when we visit so I can get to a Bravissimo. Been using them since they were 2 women working from their garage Grin

Sympathies. I don't even go downstairs without my bra on! (36HH). I'm also a big fan of Bravissimo for swimwear. This bra was a real find for me, just seen that it is out of stock. I'm bereft!! Previously M&S were rubbish at the larger sizes but this one was a really lovely fit.

I have small shoulders too. Running is a pain without two bras. I haven't worn a shirt for years - they just don't button well, even the 'curvy fit' ones.

I wear wrap dresses with a vest underneath to hide otherwise indecent cleavage and extra long tops from Long Tall Sally. Having huge boobs means all the fabric gets distributed high up and you need longer length to compensate.

In the North East we have Sadie the Bra lady. She's ace but I haven't been to one of those shops for a while. My mum likes to go there.

I went to a local posh independent. They didn’t measure. She handed me a bra, I put it on then she came in and manhandled me. Then brought a second one in a different style and there was a bit of tweaking. The third one was the same style but different size and fit perfectly. It was a revelation. I refused to remove it and wore it home (after paying!). I was uncomfortable for years and had been measured in m&s, Debenhams, h of f etc. As well as measuring myself from guides on the internet. It’s the correct style as well as the numbers and letters, and that is where experience is worth paying for. I buy exactly the same bra online (often on french sites which are cheaper, even with shipping). But well worth the £80 for the first one. And if the shop can’t match you with a suitable bra, you don’t need to buy any. It’s no risk.
