Brown blood & hip area pain...

I would really appreciate any advice here...posting here for traffic...

I have had some quite bad pain (on & off / twinges) in my left 'hip' area for about a week now. It's starting to improve, but today I've had some 'old' (brown) blood on a panty liner - not much, maybe 1-2 teaspoons. But certainly odd for me & completely in between periods. I'm otherwise pretty regular periods wise.

I'm 37, and otherwise well - if pretty overweight (14 stone, 5,5).

Until the bleeding today I'd sort of assumed I'd hurt my lower back / left hip joint...but the blood is making me thing it's more sinister...

I'm obviously worried it's something related to my reproductive system...or a mass / cancer,

Any advice welcome. Thanks.

I have no experience here but this would get me to the doctors sharpish. Midway through periods suggests ovulation time. The pain and bleeding could be something to do with that.

However any chance you could be pregnant and it's implantion bleeding?

Just had a quick Google and mittleschermch comes up(spelling might be a bit dubious there) it says you can get a bit of blood when an egg is released.
But cause this isn't usual for you I would go in and ask for them to take a look

Go to docs, also consider peeing on a stick in a couple of weeks it could be implantation bleeding?

I have had a little tiny spot of brown spotting around ovulation since I had kids so it can be a thing.

However, I also had brown spotting when I had an ectopic pregnancy so if there is any chance at all I'd test.

Probably make a gp appointment to be sure

Thank you x appreciate the replies.

One thing I know for sure is that I'm not pregnant! ;)

It just seems odd that there's so much pain. The ovulation bleeding I can kind of get...bit not the pain. But possibly unrelated.

Anyway, thanks.

I have got endometriosis and often get pain in my hip and down my leg.

I had this and it turned out to be hormonal. Go to the doctor and ask for blood tests :)
