Chicken pox

Hi my 16 month old has just got chicken pox I had the vaccine when I was pregnant with her can I still get them as I haven't had them before? Thankyou x

The vaccine isn't usually given in pregnancy. Are you sure that's what you were given?

Yea because I haven't had them before and can be dangerous if you get them whilst pregnant x

I was exposed to what we thought might be CP when I was pregnant. The hospital gave me a shot to protect me, but it wasn't the actual vaccine. I can't remember the name of it, but it was more than likely that what you had.

My immunity was tested when the DC was 3 months old and I was not immune.
I had the vaccination at the same time as the DC when they were about a year old or so.
