Trying to get my daughter to settle.

Hi all.
First time mum to a 23 day old little girl. Had a horrendous night last night with her, she would only sleep for an hour max at a time and wanted fed each time she woke, we are using the hungry baby formula as I was unable to breast feed (another thing I feel awful about) when I was feeding her she would keep pushing the bottle away and then start reaching for it again. My husband took over this morning but she still won’t settle. He’s now taken her for a walk in the village to see if she will sleep.
I feel like a terrible mother because I am reaching my limit, I am so tired and emotional too. Any tips on getting her to settle would be greatly appreciated, I swaddle her and lie her on my chest to try and settle her but that isn’t working at all today.
Thanks in advance
One exhausted mama Sad

A stroll around in the fresh air will be great for your daughter, a bit of a shuggle will nod her off.

You go back to bed. Off you go, shoo.

You can chat more later but for now - bed.

dummy? suckling for comfort is normal.

Put her in her cot, stick the hoover on and run round the carpet with it. If that doesn't work, leave it running by the cot. I discovered this by accident when I had my twins years ago, they fell asleep in 5 minutes and I had the cleanest carpets in the world!

Also, wrap her up so she can't wave her arms about, sometimes they jerk themselves and smack themselves in the face. Good luck

Hungry baby formula for a 23 day old baby? Is that in medical advice? I thought it gave them constipation and stomach ache so could it be that the hungry baby formula isn't right for her?

I swore by white noise for my DD, a 9 hour hairdryer video on YouTube saved my sanity on more than one occasion.

Hungry baby formula is possibly overloading her little tum. I think I would try normal formula for her age and see if that changes things.

Yes hungry baby formula could be making her uncomfortable.
Go to sleep while they’re out! Go! Babies go through periods like this. It certainly won’t be the last time. Get some rest while you can.
