What the frig is wrong with my hand? Pic

Felt a weird stabbing pain/cramp in my hand about 30 mins ago and it’s now throbbing, this blue area has come up and is spreading. No injury. Any ideas?

I get these in my fingers. I believe its a burst blood vessel.

You've burst a blood vessel, I get them sometimes in my fingers. If you're getting them frequently then it's worth seeing the GP but as a one-off it's nothing to worry about unless you get excessive swelling, the bruise continues to spread, or you lose feeling/function in your hand.

I get them in my fingers sometimes. Usually if I pick something up awkwardly or bend my fingers at a weird angle. Did it in exactly the same place as you once whilst making the bed. It's just burst blood vessels.

Ooooo thanks everyone. Never had one before! Seems to have stopped spreading now

Nothing really to worry about but hurts like buggery when it happens, it will fade in a couple of days.

Did you ever find out what it was? This exact same thing happened to me last night with the same placement, just on my left hand
