Hi

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience of being interviewed for this role?
It is basically my dream job so am keen to do as well as possible!
I'm doing all the standard preparation but am keen to hear from someone who has experienced it first hand.

Thank you!

There were a few threads on here back in the summer where a funeral director was letting mn ask them questions about their job...that might help you out. It was really interesting.

Good luck with your interview...let us know how it goes!

It will be on the Ask Me Anything board.

Hi, I’m a FA with the Co-op.
I’d say to read up on Co-op values and there will be questions about how you react/reacted in different circumstances.
There will be a small task inputting info on a spreadsheet and a basic maths task.
What surprised me about the role (when I started) was the fact that there is a LOT more admin than I expected. In fact, the job used to be named ‘Funeral Arranger Admin’.
You’ve obviously impressed if you’re at the interview stage, I really enjoy my job and wish you the best of luck Smile

...if you have any more questions then I’m happy to help if I can

Thanks so much QueenArse!

Yes I'm looking at the Values/Ways of working and trying to match up with examples of how I've shown those skills in the past.

I will definitely make it clear that I understand how much of the job is about admin/organisation and generally being 'on the ball'.
