What sold quickly for you?

We are having a clear out, preparing to move. I have been listing different things each day, and it still surprises me which stuff sells the fastest.
Hands down, the quickest seller for me has been kids storage options (toy trunks, etc) childrens books, and house plants.
As fast as I list them, they sell.

Any other books or knock knacks, on the other hand...sigh

What has sold really well for you, and dis you expect it?

A 15 yr old sewing machine, a fussy cheap jenome. Listed it for $20 on 3 fb selling sites. Next thing I know 8 people are interested all requesting info at the same time...all wanted it but no one was able to pick up on that day...headache
I drove it over to the nearest persons home (about 3 blocks away).

That's wild!
I woke up this morning to 41 more messages from people looking for plants
Cant believe it, but glad of the wee windfall right before Christmas

Car seats bizarrely. Both times they've gone really quickly. I wouldn't buy them second hand. I wouldn't sell them on if they'd been in a crash or damaged but the buyers can't be sure.

There is a limit to what I would by second hand (no car seats, no underwear, or used make up) but there are people who buy anything!Confused

Car and bike bits, roof fails, Thule bits, a bike rack, wheels for bikes... Xmas Hmm

And anything kid related, books, wellies, toys, snow suits, clothes eg tops/jeans can take a bit longer. I tend to price lower than normal tho as I just want the stuff gone and can’t be faffed about with auctions etc. Some buyers have had some fab bargains from me recently.

Also coats. I had about 15 of them and now I’m down to 5 sold within 48 hours.

My shoes however have taken an age...most of the brand new as well.

Buggyboard... jumperoo... little tikes transporter truck.. shabby chic dressing table... all of these I had so many messages about and sold reallu quickly!

Imonaonehorseopensleighhey · 09/12/2018 16:26

Buildabears and their clothes, sold in bundles ... i had several people asking for them.

Weirdly, used bedding!! It was duvet covers / pillowcsaes that were years old but had been quite expensive when I bought them. They'd been in the back of the airing cupboard for years, so I thought I'd stick them on eBay see what happened. Had bids immediately and I think 2 sets went for something like 20 quid each, and the other for 30. I was gobsmacked!

backendofabus · 09/12/2018 17:17

Bundles of boys joggers and trousers. Just primark stuff, but proper bidding wars on eBay.

Kids toys, especially this time of year.

I've just come up for air!
Sold every plant in the house, cleared just over 250.00

This is so weird! But in a good way!
I've been really overwhelmed, tbh, people actually messaged around the clock. Who messages about a pothos at 3:40 am?
And cf abounds, asking for bulk discounts and free deliveryGrin

Still glad it's done, but next time , I'm just going to say 1 hour plant sale at the house, no holds
None of this billions of messages crap.
Half of them were just asking if the item is still available!
