The UK has had some weird tornado stuff going on right?

One that blows through your homes and physically picks up the back end of your child's shoe and sets it down lightly in front of your eyes, hours and hours after they've been put down last?

That's the only explanation possible isn't it? Massive, windy tornado draught, right?

Must be a draught. Did you so the shoe in mid air travelling towards you or disclose it just end up near you without you knowing how?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 09/12/2018 00:25

:( here I was ready to quote all sorts of cool uk tornado facts. Teaser :(

TheFuckfaceWhisperer · 09/12/2018 00:25

Ooo, a ghost thread!

RestingButchFace · 09/12/2018 00:26

I will try that again did you see it travel? Or did it just end up at your feet without you seeing.

NutCrackerSuite · 09/12/2018 00:28

👻

FantasticBadger · 09/12/2018 00:28

Have you actually seen the shoe moving OP? It is very windy tonight!

FlibbertyGiblets · 09/12/2018 00:28

Oh. I wanted to find the article about the London tornado with the clementines vomited across the room for you all.

bsc · 09/12/2018 00:33

How many of those Pina coladas have you had? Grin

DoYouLikePinaColadas · 09/12/2018 00:35

The back end moved upwards and when I moved my head to stare at it and make sure I was seeing what I thought I saw, it was definitely moving and it was set down really carefully again.

DH was there but his view was obscured by me and he was short with me when I told him. I asked if he thought I was lying and he said "no, please don't bring it up again."

Maybe teeny tiny ant soldiers in need of a shoe? Sad

@OhYouBadBadKitten

@FlibbertyGiblets

Carry on! I'm waiting..

Fuzzywig · 09/12/2018 00:36

We have a tornado in our house, it’s quite regular and only in my daughters room. Leaves it in such a mess without her even touching it. Very strange indeed.

Yours sounds like a ghost/poltergeist or very forgetful parent(s).

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 09/12/2018 00:36

Ooooh your DH saw it too and is spooked!

Justaboutawake · 09/12/2018 00:36

Marking place bit ready to step in with theories... could somebody be winding you up? Bit of fishing line attached to shoe....

I’m reaching

DoYouLikePinaColadas · 09/12/2018 00:38

bsc - None but I assure you I need one now!

Just me and DH in the room and he's honestly too ill for jokes.

Justaboutawake · 09/12/2018 00:42

Ask your ghost to prove he’s real by passing some tissues to DH. More useful than a shoe....

FlibbertyGiblets · 09/12/2018 00:53

here you go unintentionally hilarious account.

DoYouLikePinaColadas · 09/12/2018 01:00

I asked it to leave the other day, nevermind DH's tissues. We'd had DC babbling and pointing to an area of the bedroom where I keep seeing things out of the corner of my eye. Thought I was going crazy but said it because I'd seen it on TV before. Nothing at all after, then a shoe on the move today.

Looks like it's someone else who doesn't bloody listen to me then!

Theconifers25 · 09/12/2018 10:36

So there’s been related activity before of this kind op?
What did ur partner say then?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 09/12/2018 14:26

Well, did you know that the uk averages around 33 tornadoes per year (though it's been sparse the last couple of years or so) and that this gives us the highest frequency density (per area) of reported tornadoes in the world?

AtrociousCircumstance · 09/12/2018 14:29

Are you extremely stressed/tired?

DoYouLikePinaColadas · 09/12/2018 17:56

He said he had felt something last time and looked quite worried about it. I'd have thought he was joking but he'd mentioned it in front of friends.

My DC is having a sleep regression so I am tired!

OP posts:
AtrociousCircumstance · 10/12/2018 01:33

Tiredness/exhaustion can make your mind play tricks on you and distort your vision. It’s probably that.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 10/12/2018 10:05

Before this had you experienced anything like this before?

DoYouLikePinaColadas · 10/12/2018 13:49

Yes, I'd always make an excuse for things like this but I've seen it this time.
