All 4 / Channel 4 app - boring q

Boring question alert but I can't work it out for myself, even with google help.

Does anyone know if you can watch the C4 app as a pop out / minimised screen?

Is there a really simple way to do it (like you can with iPlayer, Netflix etc) that I'm missing?

No, you can’t. You can’t with ITV or Now, either.

You can with BBC, Netflix & Prime.

It’s annoying. I don’t know why some apps won’t let you.

I want to watch it in the background as I'm mumsnet ting/ shopping/ pointlessly surfing! But you can't, same for channel 5 app. It's so rude! They have the best trash documentaries!

Oh that's pants. I like having it on while doing other things too so I'll just have to stick to Netflix & iPlayer.
