If your DP has been to the vets...

...as we call it, ie - had a vasectomy, how long before his balls stopped aching. It's been nearly two months and poor old DH is still achey and very protective of his crotch (probably wise with a 3 year old on the rampage).

Any anecdotal evidence of how long before he's back to normal? Or advice on things he could do to help?

Should have gone to the doctor!

SocksRock · 08/12/2018 18:41

To the vet?!? Is this your husband? Surely a doctor would have been more appropriate...

Ylvamoon · 08/12/2018 18:45

Take him back to the vet, explain that you have noticed that he doesn't like paying ball anymore... maybe he has a rotten tooth???

He needs to go back to the doctors OP. It shouldn't be hurting this much 2 months on.

Anectdotal only, but DH was back to normal, and back in the saddle as it were, the next morning.

Shaved hair growing back in wa s the biggest pain.

I think he needs to see the vet again.

I get your vet thing OP, our family are the same Grin

Without going into too much detail he is, um, fully functional both solo and with me, but if he does a lit of other physical activity, or even just at the end of the day then its rather tender. P'raps i should shoo him back to James Herriot and see if thry can suggest something ;-)

I took my cat to the vet the same week as DH went to the 'vet'. I made sure the right one had the correct operation Grin

He needs to go back to the doctor. First week was grim, but he was nearly back to normal after a fortnight or so.
