HELP! Jeans for big, rugby-playing boys?

DS11 is really big for his age - he's in the rugby team and has the build to go with it, ie big muscular legs, big bum.

We've just tried to buy jeans in every shop in town and failed - every bloody shop has skinny or super skinny but none for the more muscular/beefy build.

He's not fat or weird shaped, so doesn't need a specialist store, but is just big rather than skinny. His arse doesn't fit in any of these skinny jeans that seem to be ubiquitous these days.

If any of you have any suggestions I'd be v grateful. We failed in Matalan, H&M, Next and Abercrombie today. Got one pair in M&S, aged 13-14, but that was it.

Thank you

We’ve got jeans from Debenhams in the past for our rugby playing son.

Thank you triptrap, Debenhams hadn't actually occurred to me!

Our son has beefy thighs and bum from cycling and we've tried everywhere. Finally found the perfect fit in Jack wills cashmoor jeans, expensive but nothing else fitted.

Jack Wills is a great shout! I've never tried there, what a good idea. And there's one near us.

Thank you very much Ifonly

DH has this issue - stay away from topman!!

They have to be straight fit and current winners are Levi's, Tommy Hilfiger, Mantaray (a Debenhams brand maybe?). He uses Thread (hence the random mix of brands) so once DS finds a good fit he could maybe use this website and it suggests other items he might like/ give him brands that will work.

I have similar problems with my son and have just ended up buying from the men's dept at Next now. So at least a range of fits to choose from in different waist sizes but obviously they need to be tall enough for the leg lengths!

I was going to say Next as well.
They have a slim cut with stretch which is very forgiving.

Thank you all so much - I will look into all of these.

I have honestly got so desperate that I considered putting him on a diet, til the penny dropped that he is actually not fat, just has muscles in places most shops would rather he didn't!
