all this for some carpet

I'm so frustrated and angry right now. I know this is a first world problem before anyone starts on about it.

we've ordered carpet from a company 55 minutes away from us (they were the only ones who could get us the carpet we wanted for the landing and wasn't an astronomical price). we are replacing carpets in 2 massive bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and hallway and landing.

Twice they cancelled on us because they couldn't get the landing carpet even though ordered it 2 months in advance. Both times they cancelled the night before so I've wasted 2 days holiday and husband one day.

Last night and this morning we spent time clearing everything out of the rooms , beds dressers, side tables, a lot of stuff.
So the guy turns up this morning whilst my husband is home and I get a phone call to say that they've brought the wrong colour carpet Angry, I get home and not only that but he's got the wrong vinyl!

To say I'm upset is an understatement, the fitter rang the company and explained it was wrong, the guy on the other end said oh it's ok it's brown it goes with everything, I told him he's it may well do but that's not what ive chosen and to take it away.

He then says he can come back next week! so another fucking weekend wasted.

I had a go at the fitter (I'm not a confrontational person at all usually). He basically said sorry put his head down and more or less ran out of the house.

Meanwhile he's left the browny
carpet in my kids bedroom so that they're not left with bare floor.

What can i do about it? anything?

I don't feel like the company is taking this seriously at all.

oh and the carpet for the landings isn't coming til after December and they can't tell us when.

I guess it really is a first world problem.

Is there any kind of dogsbody I can talk to about this?
