Possibly stupid question about multiple ear piercings

I want to get additional piercings along the side of my ear lobe. Is it better to get it done on both sides? Or have two piercings going diaganoally upwards from my lobe? Or do that on both sides?

I’ve only ever had a single piercing on each side - apart from a disastrous upper ear piercing that I took out because it hurt so much.

You should have it done now you like but I suggest you do one side at a time to make it easier to sleep while they are healing

Definitely do one side and let it heal. A good tip I got was to sleep on a travel pillow with your ear in the hole!
