Nice, cheap long weekend for birthday mid Jan?

My partner’s birthday is mid Jan, mine is end of December, we were thinking of having a joint birthday weekend on his birthday, not sure where to go that’s nice, fun but not too expensive! We’ve discussed Geneva and Dublin but both seem to be quite pricey. Any ideas would be gratefully received!

Madrid sounds great, thank you, any other ideas?

Valencia
A bit odd but Cowes on Isle of Wight. Stay in North House (all year outdoor heated pool) lovely boutique hotel. Ferry ride makes it feel like you’re getting away. Wrap up and do refreshing seafront walks, good restaurants. A trip up to Osborne House. Go to Yarmouth and potter around antique shops. Pubs with roaring fires aplenty.

Or the Royal in Ventnor is lovely.

Vienna, Salzburg, Munich or Florence?

L'viv in Ukraine - direct flights from Luton. I spent less than £90 for food and drink over 3 days, but might be cold and snowy.
Seville worth a look, enough to do between Tapas and a glass of wine and some great restaurants

Budapest, nice city, again cheap and added bonus of spa baths (szechnezy (sp ?) outdoor pools are great in January honest)
